McCoy - moving on up!!

What's been going on in McCoy's life lately? Well, he turned 12 on May 21st for one thing. He got ordained to be a deacon last week at church, so he was able to pass the Sacrament. Benjamin was so excited that he ran/leaped/crawled to the end of the pew so he could get the sacrament from McCoy. McCoy served him even though he was really at another row. And today, McCoy got to hold the microphone for testimonies.
For his birthday we went to his favorite, Arby's, for a beef 'n' cheddar. Then home for Oreo ice cream dessert and presents. Benjamin sure loves and worships his big brother.
On Memorial Day we celebrated all the May birthdays. McCoy got sung to in the pool. BTW, we had a great BBQ and swim party at Mike and Kate's house. It was so nice be there after a day of gardening.
McCoy had a birthday party this year. He had friends over for swimming and food. I think they spent as much time eating as they did swimming. They are all excited to leave behind 6th grade and move into the big leagues (so they think) of middle school.
We just spent the last four days driving up to Hooper, UT EVERYDAY for a soccer tournament for McCoy's summer select team. They did great and made it to the championship day. They ended up taking 3rd place.
And to top it all off, tomorrow McCoy is going to Lagoon. He has been doing Safety Patrol at school all year so he could go on their final Lagoon trip at the end of the school year. So, it has sure been busy for McCoy lately. He has a lot of friends, a lot of great things to do with his life, and a lot of family that loves and supports him. We look forward to more of McCoy.

Now that's just darn right cool McCoy! They sang to you in the pool, and you got to blow your candles out too! Way cool.

I'm proud of my little soccer McCoy, and how freaking hilarious is Ben bowing down to McCoy. That made me laugh out loud. I always wanted to be on the safety patrol in my school... wonder why I never got that opportunity.. hmmm. Maybe I can go back someday and wear a cool orange vest and hold a cool orange flag! And take down the flag after school. ahhh, those were the days. Can't wait to see you all in a few weeks!
