Tessa is in the 9th grade, she is taking early morning seminary so she can take more classes, which includes dance company. They are already starting to practice for their Fall concert. She is liking school so far and enjoys being the oldest in the school.
Madeleine is a junior and is LOVING IT! She is having a great year so far and loves going to school each day. She is on dance company and on the varsity squad for cheer/songleader. She is very involved with school and performed with both groups at the opening assembly. She is at school a lot and gets to travel with the football team to their away games. She says the bus get pretty stinky on the way home from a game.McCoy started 7th grade and is at middle school with Tessa. He loves it! He loves changing classes and more lunch choices. His favorite class so far is band, he is learning to play the trumpet. He brought his trumpet home for the first time last Thursday and loved waking up his sisters the next morning.
Samantha started the 5th grade and did not have a great morning that first day. This is the best picture we could get of her. She loves her teacher and is already having a ton of homework.
Baby Kate is in the 2nd grade and is happy as can be (as usual). She loves playing with friends and her teacher. She loves to read and reads whenever she can.
Oh Benjamin, so happy in this picture 20 minutes before school starts. He really was excited to start school. I think he thought he could do it. He went to his interview with his Kindergarten teacher just fine. Impressed her with his great math skills, no problem. We rode scooters to school and then he fell to pieces. The clinging, the screaming, the crying...he did it all. I gave him to the teacher and said "Do you have an aid?" then I left hoping he would stop. After school he wasn't still crying, he didn't do anything and spent most the day in the hall with the aid.

Teacher is fantastic and is willing to go the distance with him which is great! We both wish he would just quitely sob instead of the loud crying then he could be in the classroom with the other kids instead of the hall with the aid. I am hoping for better things on Tuesday!

I love these back to school pictures. You can see everyone's personalities in them. You have very cute kids. Tessa, loved the shirt, Madeleine-hair is fabulous, Samatha-love the yellow daisy hairbow, Kate--beautiful, winning smile, McCoy-awesome, cool dude shirt, can't believe you're in middle school. Benjamin--so excited you started Kindergarten. What a big boy you are.
And Kristin...what are you going to do with all the extra time?
Unfortunetly I only have 1 hour and 35 minutes of "me" time. Ben has afternoon Kindergarten- start time 12:50 then I pick up Madeleine from high school at 2:25.
How fun for all of them so be back in school. So sad thats all the time you have to yourself though!
Wow, what a great year so far! I'm sorry Samantha did not have a great morning. The rest of em look super excited. Madeleine is a super busy lady that's for sure. Have fun with your hour and a half!
