The Boys' Alpine Adventure - Catherine Pass

That pointy summit behind the boys is the mountain we climbed.

It's fun with the cousins around because it causes us to actually get out to do fun things because we're together. On Thursday Bren and I took the three cousins, Dawson, Duncan, and McCoy on a "little" hike up into the Wasatch Mountains. We parked at Albion Basin in Little Cottonwood Canyon and hiked over Catherine's Pass then up a mountain to summit overlooking Lake Catherine and Lake Mary as well as Brighton Ski Resort. It was a great day for a hike and with all the rain this summer the wildflowers were amazing. It was beautiful and hopefully we could help these boys begin to appreciate that.
We could see for miles up there all around including Mt. Timpanogos and the Heber Valley. The boys were pushed a bit and were certainly tired, but they now have something to brag about and remember with their uncles. We're just glad we returned with all three still intact.

Just a little guy time. That's cool. Looks like an awesome hike and a little tiring. Were you prepared with water and trail mix? Did you bring rescue flares in case of emergency?

So, I love when McCoy starts marching at the end. So funny. What a fun time! I'm glad someone went with Bren so he could burn off some energy.
