It's a crazy party when the cousins get together--look out, Grandpa!

While the cousins were here a couple of weeks ago, we went out to lunch with Grandpa Homer at the Lion House as per tradition--He's probably wondering how this whole thing ever got started. Anyways, we had a lovely lunch at the Lion House. Thanks, Grandpa Homer. (Note for next year: We went later this year, around 2:00pm, less people, less confusion).

After eating we went out for pictures with the flowers and the fountains. These kids are so cute and they grow up so fast--it doesn't seem like it has been that long that we were doing this will little toddlers. Now we're doing it with teenagers--good for them for still being good sports.
It's nice sometimes to take a moment to sit the family down with the flowers and take some more formal pictures--we should do it more often. They sure grow up fast.

That was a fun day,, and I soooo agree with the later lunch.. Duh, what were we thinking before for the last 12 years?? You got some fun pictures!
Hey, the tradition started with little Ashton. We went to lunch with Papa when she was probably two. I still have the "reserved" sign that was on our cute little table about 20 years ago. What a great tradition. Sorry we missed it. That is seriously the highlight of my kids' summer. I won't show them this blog post because they'll be so sad. They still have their Lion House Root beer bottles sitting on their shelves.
Lino House finally has kiddie cups! That's new.
We missed you Sheila, but we'll see you again here.
That is such a fun and cute things you do.
The reason we went at noon was the fact that Grandpa was still working and that is when he could work it in. Is is nice to be retired - you can do anything you want to do and do it at any time.
I did like the later hour also.
And I love the tradition.
