Happy 14th Day!

It goes way back to the beginning of our marriage and we're still doing it. The fourteen days of Valentine's is a cherished tradition for us every year. It goes back to when we had only been married a couple of months and suffice it to say Keith didn't come through very well (actually not at all) so the next year he was busy trying to redeem himself by hitting all fourteen days. And he hasn't missed a year since!

It is fun for us to think about what we're going to do on those 14 days and also to see what our Valentine does on those 14 days. Now that the kids are older they come up with suggestions for us and keep track of the days. Benjamin came up to me and said since we love each other he knew something we could do--we should get married!

Some of the highlights for Kristin from Keith this year were actual Salsa lessons (Sí, Señor), a new set of kitchen knifes, two mushy cards, going out to eat twice, flowers, heart bubbles, and some favorite treats. Each day had a cute heart post-it note that Krisitn hung on the kitchen window.

Some highlights for Keith from Kristin were a new Atlas for our travels, a heart ham 'n' cheese sandwish for lunch, a card mailed to my school so the office could woo woo, candy, gatorade after going to the gym, and she decorated the inside of my car while I was at school like some crazed stalker. We also enjoyed having the missionaries over for our Valentine's Red/Heart dinner. Delicious--tasted like love.

Wow, I'm not sure I could come up with 14 things each year. Good job both of you!

wow, cute! how come I never knew that???? after all of those years living a couple of inches from each other??? very sweet. I have a pink day. all pink foods, treats for everyone starting with bfast, etc. we made the mistake of getting married mid january ... between Christmas and my birthday. duh???? so after 3 celebrations in a row, valentines has become rather simple though we still do something.
