Not five minutes drive from the Blackham's is Sabino Canyon State Park. What a gem. A beautiful preserve of classic Sonoran Deseret flora/fauna. We took a hike up there loaded with strollers, picnic fixin's and water bottles. It was actually a little too warm as we hiked along the road. We stopped at a stream and played and had our picnic. What fun throwing rocks in the water--we even saw a roadrunner go by--beep beep. The big saguaro cactus were so cool. Everyone kept taking pictures with their new Christmas cameras. This is a very interesting land.

Whatever you do. do not fall into the cactui. I've done it and it is not happy. It makes a very interesting landscape.
We loved Sabino Canyon. Isn't it such a beautiful and peaceful place?!?
Love the cute little cactus trees/ bushes? What do you call those things anyway? I guess they are just a plant? Anyway, cool scenery. Those cacti(plural?) are way cool looking.
It is a lovely place. And we still haven't fallen into any cactuses. Your pictures turned out pretty cool.
