Tucson Polar Bear Club

Sometimes, when you're suffering under the oppressive cover of snow and cold and dreary wintery skies, you feel like anything would be worth it if you could just, for one moment, go outside and swim in a pool. We felt like the whole drive to Arizona was worth the luxurious moment of swimming in Janelle's hottub and pool. The pool was actually quite cold--of course, the kids ended up swimming in it, because they're that desperate to go swimming. It was fun until the kids made me go in the pool, too. I sort of had to in order to maintain my reputation as a manly man. But the hottub was nice afterward.

All Polar Bears are brave when they are young. Especially when you won't be able to step foot in a swimming pool for a few more months.
