EGGuberant Easter EGGcitment
We had an early Easter Dinner and celebration at Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's on March 29th. Grandpa Johnson was in town from Washington DC so we celebrated with him. We had the traditional ham and turkey dinner -yummy!!! Then because of the snow we had our Easter Egg hunt in the basement and our Egg Drop had to be modified. Uncle Doug just threw the eggs on the driveway-the only place without a few inches of snow. The eggs broke a lot easier this way then being tossed over the roof. We all had a great time as usual and the kids all came home a little wealthier from finding coins in the Easter Eggs.

alright, i need some more information on this egg throw?? You throw eggs over the house? I have never heard of this Johnson tradition.. please indulge more.

Do you use boiled eggs or raw eggs? I need new activities now that the boys are older and want some more excitement. It looks like you had a great time with the family.
wait, you throw the eggs?? are you referring to plastic eggs filled with candy/coins???
I absolutely love all of our family traditions!! They are the best.
We use raw eggs and anything goes. The object is to be the last one with a unbroken egg. We've wrapped them in bubble wrap, put them in a jar of peanut butter, surrounded them with marshmellows, jello, and bread.
Then Uncle Doug toss them over the garage roof to the cement drive way and we all watch to see if we see yellow yolk after they hit the ground. It is a lot of fun.
